I’ve recently been appointed Section Editor for the journal Insects (which have just been awarded a new impact factor of 2.769) and have now been asked to act as guest editor (together with Dr Dumas Galvez from the University of Panama and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute) for a special issue of the journal on spider ecology and behaviour.
We are looking for contributions across the broad area of ecology and behaviour ranging from macro-ecology to specific foraging behaviours, but also studies on more applied aspects sucha as conservation and their role in biological pest control. We welcome in particular expeirmental field and laboratory studies, but also theoretrical and review manuscripts. We also welcome contributions from early career researchers (as first authors).
