I’m currently on Jersey enjoying teaching on the Island Ecology module that forms part of the MSc in Island Biodiversity and Conservation offered by the Jersey International Centre of Advanced Studies and accredited by the University of Exeter. It is especially enjoyable to explore the fascinating ecological adaptations shown by a range of island species with a very engaged and knowledgeable group of students that haven’t seem to mind too much my occasional (over) focus on spiders and caves (as illustrating habitat islands to compare to true oceanic islands).
